Points of vigilance

Anaphylactic reactions frequently associated
High risk of infection at the sting site
Closely monitor the progression of reactions
Never apply ice directly on the skin

🚨 Anaphylaxis — Absolute vigilanceAnaphylactic allergic reactions are frequently associated with stings. Watch for signs: hives, swelling, shortness of breath, drop in blood pressure.

🦠 High risk of infectionAny sting trauma presents a high risk of infection. Antiseptic treatment after stinger removal is mandatory.

🐝 Bee stinger — TechniqueRemove the stinger by scraping it sideways with a fingernail or a rigid card — do not pinch the venom sac to avoid injecting more venom.

🧊 Ice — ApplicationNever direct contact with the skin. Use a protective towel. Ice helps reduce swelling and pain.

📊 Post-sting monitoringMonitor progression for at least 30 minutes after the sting. Delayed reactions are possible.

PROTOCOL — STING TRAUMA

🩺 Gently remove the stinger or spines
using sterile tweezers
Scrape sideways — do not pinch the venom sac

🧴 Disinfect the trauma using an antiseptic
Rinse first with water and soap, then apply the antiseptic

💊 Apply an ointment to relieve pain
Antihistamine or analgesic ointment · Relieves itching and pain

🧊 Apply ice to the trauma site
Always with a protective towel — never direct contact with the skin

🌡 Cover the victim — warm or foil blanket
Prevent hypothermia · Maintain comfort

📊 Reassess vital signs frequently (ABC)
Monitor for at least 30 minutes · Delayed reactions possible

Does the victim show signs of allergic reaction?
